Position Details:
- Assignment Dates: November 12, 2026 - February 4, 2027
- Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and two Saturdays per month
- Travel: Must be able to travel between our Miramar and Coral Springs offices (mileage reimbursement will be provided)
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures and help ensure smooth clinical workflow.
- Help children feel comfortable and safe throughout their dental visits.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment.
- Provide age-appropriate oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment care guidance to patients and their parents or guardians.
- Anticipate the dentist's needs and provide support during procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow all infection control and safety protocols.
- Perform permitted dental assisting duties in accordance with applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous dental assisting experience; pediatric dental experience is a plus.
- Friendly, patient, and compassionate approach when working with children and families.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced dental environment.
- Familiarity with dental software and technology is a plus.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between the assigned offices.
Required Certifications:
- Active Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification.
- X-Rays certification.
