You can check your status at any time by logging in to the Candidate Portal.

Can I edit my application after I’ve submitted it?

Once an application is submitted, you cannot change the details for that specific role. However, you can update your profile and resume in the Candidate Portal for any future applications.

How do I reset my password for the application portal?

If you’ve forgotten your password, navigate to the Candidate Portal login page and click the "Forgot Password?" link. Enter the email address used for your account, and we will send you a reset link.

Interviewing & Hiring

What should I wear to my interview?

For clinical roles, business casual attire is perfectly acceptable. For administrative or corporate roles, we recommend business professional or business casual attire.

How long will it take to hear back after I apply?

Our recruiting team reviews applications daily. While timelines vary by role and location, you can typically expect an update via email or phone within 1–2 weeks of your submission.

Do you offer shadowing opportunities or externships for dental students?

Yes! Great Expressions often supports shadowing for aspiring dental professionals and externship programs for Dental Assistant and Hygiene students. Please contact the Practice Manager at your local office to inquire about availability.

Does Great Expressions offer a residency program for new Dentists?

While we do not host a traditional residency, we offer a robust onboarding and mentorship program for new graduates that provides the clinical support and professional development typically found in a residency environment.

Does Great Expressions offer Continuing Education (CE) credits?

Yes! We are committed to your professional growth. Great Expressions provides access to a variety of internal and external Continuing Education opportunities to help our clinicians stay at the forefront of dental technology and meet state licensing requirements.

What are the requirements for Dental Assistant roles?

Requirements can vary by state, but in general, we look for candidates with a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, expanded functions certification, and applicable state X-ray certifications. We also provide internal training opportunities for those looking to grow into the role.

Are there opportunities for career advancement within the company?

What kind of administrative support do you provide to Dentists?

Our Practice Support Center handles all non-clinical administrative tasks, including billing, marketing, HR, and IT. This allows our doctors to focus 100% on patient care and clinical excellence without the burden of office management.

Does GEDC hire specialists, or just general dentists?

We hire both! Our network includes more than 100 specialists across Orthodontics, Oral Surgery, Periodontics, Pedodontics, and Endodontics. This collaborative environment allows our general dentists and specialists to work together to provide comprehensive care under one roof.
